Description:

 

Learn to draw in a relaxed atmosphere and gain a basic knowledge of the skills you can use to make your own beautiful drawings!

Do you want to learn how to draw and need help getting started? In this beginner’s course, you will gain an understanding of the tonal scale and its relationship to light and shadow. You will also learn about the techniques of drawing such as hatching, cross-hatching, blending, rendering and scumbling. Sam will guide you through the method of using observation to create a variety of pencil and pen drawings. We will also use some experimental techniques.

You will learn about:

  • The tonal spectrum and its relationship with light and shadow
  • A number of drawing techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching and scumbling

What you will get

  • The use of the pencils/pens

  • Skills you can take home with you
