Relieving Anxiety in the classroom

Description:

Aiden has started to refuse to go to Phys Ed.

Madi is refusing to eat anything at recess or lunch.
Vedran won’t leave the house unless his hair and uniform are perfect.
Mario just seems stress out all the time.

Some of these scenarios might seem very real to you. They could just be ‘kids being kids.’ Are they signs that each person is experiencing high levels of anxiety and not coping?
This work shop will look at how anxiety is a natural part of life, however, for some students it can become crippling to their daily lives. By looking at some real examples of students, we will demonstrate ways of supporting anxious students.

Bring along some situations where you are concerned about some of your students so we can share ideas as a group. This workshop is designed to give each attendant practical ideas on how to support students.
